Excellent Paying Jobs That Don’t Require College Degrees

College is a challenging environment. Many people are competing for the same jobs and degrees while racking up student debt. It’s not for everyone. Sometimes, it’s best to learn through an apprenticeship and enter the workforce after high school. These are excellent paying jobs that don’t require college degrees.

Sheet Metal Worker

Sheet metal workers can explore jobs in the construction industry or manufacturing. You’ll only need a high school diploma and an apprenticeship. The apprenticeship will give you the tools and training you need to obtain a good-paying job as a sheet metal worker.

It’s important to note that this is a physically demanding job. You must bend, squat, and lift metal, heavy tools, and more while installing and creating metal products.

Gas Control Dispatcher

You should have some oil and gas experience to tackle this position, but you won’t need a college degree. Tasks include maintaining files, watching the gas pipeline pressure, and taking calls for troubleshooting. The more experience you have, the higher your salary.

This job is in a demanding field. It’s important to note that this and other positions in the oil and gas industry are dangerous.

If you decide college isn’t for you, you’ll still have plenty of opportunities. Choose any of the above positions to make a decent living without a college degree.
