College is a challenging environment. Many people are competing for the same jobs and degrees while racking up student debt. It’s not for everyone. Sometimes, it’s best to learn through an apprenticeship and enter the workforce after high school. These are excellent paying jobs that don’t require college degrees.

Commercial Pilot

Pilots transport people or goods from one location to another. You will need to attend schooling to learn how to operate an aircraft. A certified flight school will train and give you the necessary experience for you to become a commercial pilot.

You’ll learn to communicate with air traffic control and monitor all the systems. At flight school, you’ll learn how to navigate the aircraft to its proper destination and the best ways to handle changing weather and emergencies. You must pass a physical exam and meet the age requirements.

Real Estate Agent

Real estate may be the job for you if you’re a motivated individual who loves being in charge of your schedule. As a real estate agent, you’ll work with people buying or selling homes, which is entirely commission-based.

You will need to get a real estate license in order to become an agent. Each state has its requirements. As a real estate agent, you can choose how often you work. If you want to work a flexible, part-time schedule, that’s for you to decide.

Sheet Metal Worker

Sheet metal workers can explore jobs in the construction industry or manufacturing. You’ll only need a high school diploma and an apprenticeship. The apprenticeship will give you the tools and training you need to obtain a good-paying job as a sheet metal worker.

It’s important to note that this is a physically demanding job. You must bend, squat, and lift metal, heavy tools, and more while installing and creating metal products.

Gas Control Dispatcher

You should have some oil and gas experience to tackle this position, but you won’t need a college degree. Tasks include maintaining files, watching the gas pipeline pressure, and taking calls for troubleshooting. The more experience you have, the higher your salary.

This job is in a demanding field. It’s important to note that this and other positions in the oil and gas industry are dangerous.
